The villa is in Rotonda West on the Gulf Coast of Florida, approximately 90 minutes south of Tampa and an hour north of Fort Myers.
Although the villa itself is a secluded retreat, there are plenty of activities within a short drive away.
The area was voted "one of the best places to live in the USA" in a recent poll and it deserves its reputation.
The white sand beaches of Englewood, Boca Grande and Gasparilla are withing 15 minutes drive of the villa - a "must see" are the sunsets off Boca Grande where you can sit with a drink and watch the dolphin and porpoise jumping.
A little further away is Sarasota, with the delightful St Armands Key and of course Siesta Key each - voted the number 1 beach in the USA in 2004!
If you like fishing, you will not be disappointed - Boca Grande is the "Tarpon Capital" of the world, and there is fabulous fishing from Lemon Bay, Charlotte Harbour and Fisherman's Wharf - all within easy driving distance.
Sailing, khayaking and jet ski's are all available to rent and all close to the villa.
Do you play golf? If so you are in for a treat. There is something for everyone, the Rotonda has 5 superb golf courses built within it,and our villa is actually situated close to the 13th tee of Long Marsh Golf Club ( although it is surrounded by trees and shrubs, and you would not know it if we had not said something, so don't worry, you are not going to get annoyed by noisy golfers!)
If you fancy a game of tennis, there is Rotonda Community Park less than a mile from the villa which has two new tennis courts, a sports field and picnic pavilion.
The Rotonda area has also got to be one of the best places to cycle - there are cycle paths built into the nature reserve, and it is a completely flat area!
There are many restaurants close by to suit all tastes and wallets, and you are not far (12 miles) from the shopping mall of Port Charlotte with its department store and speciality
shops.
